19th – FOM Board Applications Due

FoM is in need of volunteers for the 2014-2015 school year to help keep these activities, and many more, going. Please consider donating an hour or two of your time during these events or throughout the school year to help FoM be an effective organization.

GARDEN NEWS:

“Eat What You Grow” program: The edible raised beds transformed throughout the season into a bountiful selection of harvested cucumbers, tomatillos, and wide range of herbs and greens.

We would like to sincerely thank all the families who adopted our schoolyard teaching garden on a weekly basis throughout the summer break. The group effort of watering, weeding, and harvesting any of the producing plants maintained this living space on Mitchell school grounds during the quiet months.

Please consider becoming involved with the school’s Green/Garden Team this upcoming school year.

MITCHELL GOES GREEN:

Look for the signs for friends reminders of which bins are for recyclables only.

If you are interested in getting involved with the Green Committee please contact:  Carla Jedlicka at [email protected]
