What is Friends of Mitchell?
Friends of Mitchell is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization formed by Mitchell School parents, teachers, and members of the community for purposes of supporting Mitchell and raising funds for school needs.
In what ways does Friends of Mitchell support Mitchell School?
Friends of Mitchell (FOM) organizes primarily to raise funds to support school programs, events, and other identified school needs. Funds are raised through both large and small-scale events, as well as through foundation and government grant solicitations.
FOM supports the following school programs:
Arts integration
Technology
Hubbard Street Dance Company Partnership
Learning excursions
School beautification
Student assistance
And more
How can I become involved with Friends of Mitchell?
There are a variety of ways to become involved with FOM and contribute to the continued success of Mitchell School. Current opportunities include:
Attend a Friends of Mitchell meeting or an upcoming event.
Apply to be on the official Friends of Mitchell Board.
Lead or participate in a planning committee for FOM fundraisers and events.
Participate in the planning of the annual school auction, Evening of Dreams.
Write grants to support our programs
